Yamuna water level breaches ‘danger level’, continues to rise further

According to the Central Water Commission (CWC) data, the water level of the Yamuna River in Delhi violated the ‘danger level’ on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 and continues to increase further.

According to CWC data, Yamuna’s water level on the old railway bridge in Delhi was 205.80 meters at 8 am on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.

‘Warning level’ is 204.5 meters and the ‘danger level’ is 205.33 meters.

The water level is likely to violate the ‘release level’ (for low lie areas) after 206 meters of a day and reach 206.41 meters on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, according to CWC.
