Yoga guru arrested for sexually assaulting female student of Bengaluru centre

According to the police, the investigation was launched on August 30 when the girl complained. He was 17 years old when the alleged crime occurred. He told the police that he had known Murthy since 2019 because he was the Secretary General of Karnataka Yogasana Sports Association (KYSA). Since 2021, he has participated in yoga competitions abroad.

In 2023, he claimed that he went with Murthy in Thailand to participate in a sexual assaulted competition. He then stopped participating in the competitions and stopped going to the yoga center according to Fir.

He claimed that he joined the Sunshine The Yoga region in 2024, ruled by the defendant, and was also sexually harassed by Murthy. The defendant is a well -known person in the field of yoga and has a doctoral degree in yoga. He directed the national team 12 times. He received several awards by the Karnataka government, including the Life Achievement Award.
