Gurugram: Samsung, India’s largest consumer electronics brand, celebrated a major milestone at its flagship technology education initiative, Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC), by felicitating 1,600 young participants in Gorakhpur today.

The ceremony held at Yogi Baba Gambhirnath Prekshagrih Auditorium was graced by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, who presented certificates to the meritorious students and praised the initiative’s contribution to future-ready education and digital inclusion.

Aligned with the Government of India’s Skill India and Digital India missions, Samsung Innovation Campus equips youth with core skills in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data and Coding and Programming. Samsung Innovation Campus, the company’s flagship CSR program, currently covers 10 states and aims to skill 20,000 students nationwide by 2025; a sixfold increase compared to last year.

The initiative achieved 44% female participation nationally; This reflects Samsung’s focus on inclusive and equitable talent. This year, 5000 students will be educated in Uttar Pradesh; This means approximately 25% of the national target; This positions the state as a pioneer in digital empowerment and supporting job-ready talent.

“At Samsung, we believe that India’s future will be defined by its youth. Through the Samsung Innovation Campus, we not only train young people in technical skills, but also nurture confidence, creativity and problem-solving abilities—qualities that will help young people build meaningful careers and shape the country’s digital transformation. The momentum we have seen across 10 states and thousands of classrooms this year reflects India’s deep hunger for learning and progress. Be it Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Big Data and Coding and Programming. Samsung “These are not just the skills of the future, they are the language of opportunity today,” said JB Park, President and CEO of Southwest Asia. “As a partner in India’s growth story, Samsung will continue to invest in talent, strengthen local ecosystems and work closely with governments and skilled institutions to create a digitally empowered, innovation-driven Aatmanirbhar Bharat,” he said.

“Our youth are the foundation of Uttar Pradesh’s progress and the driving force behind India’s growth story. I am delighted to see global companies like Samsung coming forward to invest in their skills and aspirations. Our students are prepared to lead the industries of tomorrow by learning emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Big Data and Internet of Things. This initiative is not just about teaching technology, but also about creating pathways for livelihood, self-reliance and dignity for our youth. Through this programme, Samsung supports our vision of transformation. The respected Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath said, “Uttar Pradesh has emerged as a hub of skilled manpower and digital excellence. “The success of these young people is a reflection of a self-reliant, talented and future-ready Uttar Pradesh,” he said.

Samsung has partnered with the Electronics Industry Skill Council of India (ESSCI) under the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) to train students through accredited training partners. Samsung Innovation Campus opened in India in 2022 and will educate 6,500 students by 2024, for a total of 26,500 students by 2025. It continues to expand its footprint, now with a strong focus on underserved and semi-urban communities.

Beyond technical learning, participants receive soft skills training and placement support to strengthen employability and workplace readiness.
