Teenage girl accused of stabbing 12yo girl at Adelaide bus stop

Police have arrested three teenage girls after a 12-year-old boy was stabbed at an Adelaide bus stop on New Year’s Eve.
Emergency services were called to Salisbury bus junction at around 7pm and found the young girl with a single stab wound to her abdomen.
The group of girls, aged between 14 and 15, allegedly fled the scene and boarded a train; but they were arrested a short time later at the Mawson Lakes junction. The 15-year-old Davoren Park girl, the 15-year-old Pooraka girl and the 14-year-old Craigmore girl were charged with affray and aggravated assault.
The Davoren Park girl was also charged with assault occasioning harm; police claimed he stabbed the 12-year-old girl.
The three girls were denied bail.
“They all know each other and this appears to be the result of an ongoing dispute between these people,” Deputy Commissioner John De Candia said.
“Fortunately, the young girl did not suffer any serious injuries.”
The young people will appear in court on Friday.
