This Lebanese bakery wants you to know that there’s more to Arabic pastries than baklava. (Although it must be said that Youssef’s baklava is excellent, especially the pistachio version.)
For example, the warbat next to the pudding-filled baklava needs to be on your radar. As in Helwet: cheese rolls with cream filling. If you are eating kunefe (baked cheese pie) at home and someone asks you if you want kashta (cream clotted cream), the answer is always yes.
Good to know: Besides pastries, mahalabia (milk dessert) also deserves your attention.
