Youth Dies By Suicide As Parents Refuse To Buy Mobile

-Warangal: A 20-year-old man died by suicide in Chintalapalli village of Thorrur mandal of Mahbubabad district after his parents refused to buy him a new mobile phone, police said.

The deceased was identified as K. Sai Kumar. Police said that the person had recently damaged his mobile phone and asked his family, who works as a daily wage earner, to buy him another phone. Sai Kumar, who was allegedly drunk on Friday night, argued with his family over the demand. They said they couldn’t afford to buy a new phone right away and asked him to wait a few days.

Sai Kumar then took the extreme step while the family was asleep, police said. His family found him dead early Saturday morning. The police took the body to the state hospital for autopsy and launched an investigation into the incident.
