YouTuber Maridhas arrested for videos defaming TVK government

YouTuber Maridhas was arrested by a special team of Chennai Cyber ​​Crime Police personnel in Madurai on Monday, June 8, 2026.

Sources said a case has been registered against him by the Chennai City Cyber ​​Crime Police for posting videos allegedly defaming the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK)-led coalition government in Tamil Nadu.

In connection with this incident, the Chennai police team along with the Madurai City Police put heavy security around Maridhas’ house in Surya Nagar in Madurai.

Later, the police arrested him and took him to Chennai.
