London: Global Innovation and Leadership Summit 2025, organized by Zee Media Corporation in the UK, opened with the keynote address by Editor Santosh Kumar, who highlighted the changing global economic order and the growing relevance of India-UK ties.

“India’s emergence as the world’s fourth largest economy, with the United Kingdom as the sixth largest, marks a new phase in bilateral economic cooperation, driven by entrepreneurship, innovation and long-term partnerships,” Zee Bharat Editor Kumar said in his opening remarks.

The summit brought together participants from key sectors including MSMEs, engineering, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, real estate, investment, hospitality and social development, highlighting India’s expanding economic impact and the broad-based nature of its growth story.

One of the highlights of the summit was the award congratulations ceremony held in the House of Lords, where the strength of parliamentary and institutional ties between the two countries was highlighted. The congratulations were honored by distinguished members of the UK Parliament, including Lord Raminder Ranger, Baroness Sandip Verma and Lord Krish Kumar Sureshchandra Raval (OBE), reflecting the strong support for India’s leadership and enterprise-led growth narrative.

Special emphasis was given to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), which are considered the backbone of the Indian economy and contribute greatly to GDP, employment generation and exports. The discussions highlighted the growing role of the real estate sector in urban development, infrastructure creation and economic momentum, both within India and through cross-border investment opportunities.

Beyond the House of Lords, additional interactions took place at Soho Court House in London, facilitating meaningful interaction between Indian and British entrepreneurs, investors and business leaders. These sessions explored emerging opportunities in MSMEs, real estate, healthcare and manufacturing, along with discussions on sustainable growth and global market integration.
