13-year-old school girl dies of heart attack in Uttara Kannada

On Sunday, May 3, 2026, a 13-year-old girl tragically died of a heart attack in Chapeli-Gavaliwada village near Joida in Uttara Kannada district.

Parents of seventh-grade student Gangu Gavali, 13, told the police that he did not have any health or heart problems. The day before his death he had been playing games all day.

On Saturday night, May 2, he ate dinner and went to sleep. He woke up in the morning and vomited. Police said the woman collapsed and died a short time later.
