19-year-old soldier from Texas killed in base attack in Jordan
A Texas soldier was one of two soldiers killed in an attack on a base in Jordan over the weekend.
Pvt. Isabella Gonzales, 19, of Carrollton, Texas, and 1st Lt. Tyler James Feehan, 25, of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, were killed in action following an attack on the Jordanian Department of War Muwaffaq Salti Air Base on July 17. It was announced in a news release.

Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth reacted to the attack in x and wrote“They’re heroes, for God’s sake. Their sacrifices only strengthen our resolve.”

In the statement made by the Ministry of War, it was stated that the incident was still under investigation.
Pvt. Gonzales was assigned to 1st Battalion, 57th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 52nd Air Defense Artillery Brigade, 10th Army Air Missile Defense Command, Ansbach, Germany.
1st Lt. Feehan was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 55th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 32nd Army Air Missile Defense Command, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
