32 people held for indecent behaviour during SHE Teams decoy operations; at least six arrested by anti-human trafficking wing

Cyberabad SHE Teams carried out 99 decoy operations within the limits of the commission between May 2 and May 7 and detained 32 people for misbehaving in public places.
According to the weekly report published by the Women and Child Safety Wing of Siberabad police, minor cases were registered in 42 cases, while counseling was given to the remaining offenders. Additionally, during the period, EHS teams received 17 complaints from women through various channels.
Cyberabad Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) rescued three victims and arrested six accused persons in three cases registered under the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA). In different cases registered under the Juvenile Justice Act, authorities rescued four boys and arrested four accused.
Police said efforts were also made to resolve domestic disputes and 33 families were provided with counseling services through Family Counseling Centers and Centers for Home and Women’s Empowerment (CDEW).
As a part of awareness and preventive initiatives, AHTU and SHE Teams organized awareness programs at various places in Cyberabad. Approximately 1,685 people attended the sessions, where officials spoke on issues such as human trafficking, child trafficking, ridicule, cyberbullying, cyber fraud, stalking, social media harassment, child marriages, children’s rights, child labor and begging.
Authorities also created awareness about emergency helplines such as Women Helpline 181, Child Helpline 1098, Dial 100 and Cyber Crime Helpline 1930.
Meanwhile, Cyberabad Security Council Society (SCSC) Women’s Safety Forum in collaboration with Bank of America in Madhapur organized an awareness session on women’s safety for employees.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, Women and Child Safety Wing K. Srujana, who moderated the interactive session, spoke about women’s safety, emergency preparedness, preventive measures and the importance of immediate reporting of incidents.
More than 300 employees participated in the program, including approximately 100 in person and more than 200 virtual participants. Police said the session focused on promoting practical safety awareness and encouraging collective responsibility in creating safer workplaces.
