6 Vizag Fishermen Still Missing; Families Await Hope amid Ongoing Search

Hyderabad: The whereabouts of six fishermen who went missing after leaving the Visakhapatnam fishing port are still unknown, further worrying the families.
They reached the fishing port and squatted in the office of the Boat Operators Association. Multiple leaders and officials met with affected families and described steps being taken to bring missing persons to safety.
According to officials, the boat capsized due to high waves on June 4, ten nautical miles from Visakhapatnam. Its driver and owner, Kari Chinna, were rescued by the crew of the merchant ship.
The remaining six are lost in sea waters. Despite the current adverse weather conditions at sea, fishermen’s search efforts have been intensified. Coast Guard patrol boat started rescue efforts.
