PsniThe police made a new objection for more than two boys who disappeared about 60 years ago.
11 -year -old David Leckey and 14 -year -old Jonathan Aven were the latest in September 1969 when they left Eastern Belfast houses.
The case is viewed by the Police Service of the Legacy investigation branch of Northern Ireland.
Det Insp Armstrong said: “More than 50 years since both David and Jonathan disappeared. His families suffered without knowing what happened the day they left their home addresses during these years.”
David disappeared from the Mammal Street and said, “There was no symptom that he was unhappy or in any kind of trouble, and he did not think he would leave the house when he disappeared.”
Jonathan, who disappeared from Sydenham Drive, was described as a “happy little boy” who joined Ashfield Boys, who was liked by his father and showed good performance.
Det Insp Armstrong said: “Over the years, the pain and pain of not knowing should be unimaginable.
“This, the conditions around the disappearance of the conditions that are still unexplained, continues to be a case of an open missing person.”
The officer said that the detectives will “take into account all investigation opportunities and follow all the investigation lines as part of the investigation and take into account the potential criminal offenses that may be linked to their disappearance,” he said.
“Detectives are aware of their reports that men may have ride the train on the train before they disappear, and that they may be willing to receive news from anyone who may have encountered men under any circumstances or places in the last 56 years.
“If David and Jonathan have any information about the disappearance of the disappearance, we will ask them to contact the Legacy research branch.”
