Class 9 student taken in for questioning after attacking classmate with machete in Tirunelveli

The Ervadi police in the Tirunelveli region took 9 students from a high secondary school from a government -backed high secondary school near Vallyoor, allegedly attacked a classmate after a fight with a small problem.

Police, on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, the sacrifice of a caste community planned from Sankarankovil in the Tenkasi region of the school hostel, allegedly malicious promises against a classmate of a classmate.

Two men calmed down by other students and teachers. However, on Thursday, it was reported that the intermediate caste brought a machete to school and attacked the SC child inside the class and caused an injury on his back. He ran to a nearby private hospital and took six stitches to stop the bleeding.

After being informed about the incident by the school administration, the Ervadi police ran to the scene and took the alleged attacker. The SC child was discharged after treatment and was later brought to the police station for an investigation.
