Telethon 2025: Former Perth Wildcats player Greg Hire joins up for massive cycling challenge

Eight hours of bike is not an easy success, but sports stars and community members accept the difficulty of changing life and collecting funds for telethon later.
Former Perth Wildcats player Greg Hire is one of the 30 rider who joined Alcoa Cycle Challenge as well as schools, sports clubs and other famous athletes.
“As a former professional athlete, physical difficulties are something I am excited about,” he said.
“If you are in a position to come back and help others, why not?”
He said he tried an appropriate education when he was preparing for the eight -hour durability test, when he could as Hire, a father and when he was working full -time.
“I wake up at four o’clock in the morning and try to do it for three, four hours before going to work and then before going to work and then back to work.”
“Even during school holidays, I have two little children, so sometimes he plays a Mario party on a game console by bike.”
In order to raise awareness of the journey attended by Telethon Legend Fat Cat, Hire was at Karinyup Shopping Center on Saturday afternoon. Cute star was deported by the crowds of excited children while dancing and reviving his fans in a great way.
6 -year -old Jonathon Dixon was among the flock of children who caressed Fat Cat’s soft fur and taking a photo.
“He is magical!” Jonathon said.
His 8 -year -old brother, Zachary, had his own fat cat baby and said he watched Telethon with his family every year. His favorite part was to help other people who were sick ”.
Karinyup General Manager Trudy Cook said he was pleased that the center may be involved and that the retailers had the opportunity to exhibit how they came behind their efforts to collect big donations.
“This is an incredible partnership and a versatile community in WA,” he said. “Carrinyup is completely about the community.”
The appearances in Karinyup continue with the preparation of the West Coast Fover star Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard on Sunday.
The challenge is part of the Telethon Family Festival on Sunday, October 19, except Rac Arena.
