Pilbara measles outbreak: Community cluster rises to seven as WA Health urges people to get vaccinated

Measles, the Ministry of Health on Tuesday after confirming the seventh case on the community epidemic of the region continues to spread to Pilbara.
Hedland Health Campus continues to be a site of exposure after health officials have added two more dates to the public health warning.
Measles are a virus in a very infectious air. An infected person may last in a room for up to 30 minutes after leaving.
Early symptoms contain fever, fatigue, painful eyes, cough and nose discharge, then typically a red rash in a red way three to four days later. The rash usually begins on its face before spreading to the rest of the body.

If a baby receives an early dose before traveling, it is recommended that they take 12 -month and 18 -month doses in parallel to NIP.
Anyone who develops symptoms should wear a mask, to isolate and seek medical care to be tested for measles.
