After antagonizing India by applying a 50 percent cumulative tariff to its products, Donald Trump decided to take another step to upset him. Raytheon made an adopted medium-range air from air to air (AMRAAM), AIM-120C8/D3 agreed to sell. In a major step, the US Department of War (DOW) or the Ministry of Defense (DOD) quietly added Pakistan to the list of buyers for missile maker. Almost all India will enter this missile range and pose a serious threat to its safety. The sale of this missile gained special importance after the role of missiles in the latest military conflicts between countries in May.
Pakistani Air Force -16 to enrich fighters
Previously, the Pakistani Air Force 500 AIM-120C5 Amraam Air-Havaya has purchased missiles. This missile was used in 2019 to hit an Indian Air Force MIG-21BIS. It is not yet known how many missiles will take the missiles, but it is clear that PAF has raised F-16 fighters. AIM-120C8 is the export version of AIM-120D, the main amraam variant in US service.
With this agreement, Washington clearly stated that he was willing to support Pakistan with new and latest weapons. Analysts believe that the agreement could be the beginning of a larger US-Pakistan Defense Agreement. The agreement to sell the medium -range missile was completed when PAF’s air chief chief (CAS), Air Chief Marshal (ACM) Zaheer Ahmed Babar visited the US Department of State in July.
What is Amraam?
Amraam is an auditory-visual range from air to air, produced by the US with day and night operations. It is special and more fatal, because it uses active transmission-Recer radar guidance instead of semi-active receiving radar guidance. When an amraam missile is released, NATO pilots use the shortage of “Fox Three”.
