Jennifer Aniston reveals she endured secret 20-year battle to have a baby as she hits back at claims she didn’t want to become a mother because she’s a ‘selfish workaholic’

Jennifer Aniston revealed that she struggled secretly for 20 years to have a baby.

The 56-year-old Friends icon gave a rare interview Harper’s Bazaar Uk‘s November issue is about the false narrative that she doesn’t want to be a mother because she’s a ‘selfish workaholic.’

She said: ‘They didn’t know my story or what I’ve been through over the last 20 years trying to start a family, because I don’t go out there and tell them about my medical problems.

‘This is nobody’s business. But there comes a time when you can’t hear it; the story about how I can’t have a baby, can’t have a family because I’m selfish, a workaholic.

‘This affects me; I’m just a human. We are all human. So it’s like, “What the hell?” I thought.

He concluded: ‘This affects me; I’m just a human. We are all human. So it’s like, “What the hell?” I thought.

But the older Jennifer gets, the less she feels the need to ‘correct a false narrative.’

He explained: ‘The news cycle is so fast it gets lost.

‘Of course, there are times when I feel a sense of justice when something is said that is not true and I have to right the wrong.

‘Then I think, is it really so? My family knows my truth, and so do my friends.’

Jennifer was married to actor Brad Pitt from 2000 to 2005. They broke up after meeting actress Angelina Jolie on the set of the movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

In 2022, Jennifer tragically revealed that she had failed in vitro fertilization and admitted that she wished she had frozen her eggs years ago.

“The road to making a baby was a rough one for me,” Jennifer said at the time.
