The world would ‘applaud’ if Putin destroys Britain with a nuclear strike, according to leading television propagandist Vladimir Solovyov. The prime time presenter of state television, who pays hundreds of thousands of pounds a year to spread Kremlin narratives, has claimed that the transfer of Tomahawk long-range rockets to Ukraine would plunge the world into a new Cuban Missile Crisis like the one in 1962.
Donald Trump is considering whether the long-range, all-weather, jet-powered, subsonic cruise missile Tomahawk could be supplied to Kiev, and has hinted that he will do so. He warned that the West should not think that giving these weapons to Volodymyr Zelensky, who requested them, would make a difference.
The US and UK use American ship- and submarine-based land attack missiles.
“[The West] I just need to understand Tomahawk’s transfer [missiles to Ukraine] “It’s already a new Cuban Crisis,” he said, referring to a moment in the Cold War when the world was on the brink of a nuclear conflict.
“And when they try to say: ‘What difference does it make…..?’ It doesn’t matter, we just get shot and that’s the end of it all. [But]By the way, if the United Kingdom were to disappear, I think all of humanity would applaud.
“God, it’s nice how they say that.
“That’s the truth. Good, they’ll say.”
Solovyov said Britain, seen in Moscow as the West’s leading cheerleader in Ukraine’s war against Russia, should be the place where Putin will use his new nuclear-capable Oreshnik missile system.
“This is where we need to attack with Oreshnik [missile system]he said.
He urged Putin to first shock the West by abruptly withdrawing all Russian diplomats as a sign that an attack was imminent.
“For example, let’s take all Russian officials for starters. [diplomats] “From the United States or Britain,” he said.
“Imagine the panic that would ensue if the embassy were suddenly separated entirely…”
Putin said that Tomahawk supply to Ukraine would spoil his relations with Trump.
“This will lead to the destruction of our relations, at least the positive trends that began in these relations,” Putin said.
“So I say what I think. How things turn out isn’t just up to us or me.”
