Man re-arrested over Manchester synagogue attack

A man arrested on suspicion of terrorism offenses following the synagogue attack in Manchester has been re-arrested at the city’s airport.
Two people were killed when 35-year-old Jihad Al-Shamie attacked pedestrians by driving his car into pedestrians in front of the Heaton Park Hebrew Community Synagogue in Crumpsall on October 2.
North West Counter Terrorism Police said the 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of committing, preparing and instigating acts of terrorism.
Police said he had previously been re-arrested at Manchester Airport on suspicion of failing to disclose information contrary to Section 38B of the Terrorism Act 2000. He has since been released on bail with certain conditions, police added.
