Ivanka Trump, President Donald Trump’s daughter and former administration adviser, told a large crowd at Tel Aviv’s Hostages Square on Saturday night that she was “astonished” by the “strength and faith shown despite so much pain” by the hostages’ families as they prepared to return home following the historic Israel-Hamas ceasefire agreement brokered by her father earlier this week.

“And the president asked me to share with so many of you personally, as he does, that he sees you, he hears you, he is always there for you,” she added. “And the return of each hostage is not only a moment of homecoming and relief, but also a triumph of faith, courage, and our common humanity.”

Ivanka Trump’s husband, Jared Kushner, told the crowd he had full confidence: “What will emerge as a result of this trauma will be a level of greatness, a level of success, a level of impact on the world, a level of leadership that Israel has never seen before.”
