Man in high-vis sets Mercedes alight in driveway of Sydney home

A man wearing a high visor was captured on CCTV setting a Mercedes SUV on fire in the driveway of a Sydney home.
Emergency services rushed to a house on Stoddart Street in Roselands, south-west Sydney, about 1am on Monday morning.
Police and fire crews allegedly found the Mercedes fully engulfed in flames in the driveway of the house.
While firefighters were extinguishing the fire, the vehicle became unusable.
Police said another Toyota HiLux parked on Stoddard Street was also doused in fuel and sustained minor damage.
“Police established a crime scene and launched an investigation into the incident where it is believed he was targeted,” a spokesman said.

Footage of the incident shows a man wearing a long-sleeved, high-visibility shirt and trousers wandering along Stoddart Street before walking towards the Mercedes, dousing it with tear gas and setting it on fire.
“He is believed to have been traveling towards King Georges Road in a light-coloured sedan,” a police spokesman said.
Anyone with information about the incident or who was in the area at the time and has a camera or footage is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
