‘Nervous’ Celia Imrie leaves The Traitors in stitches as she passes wind during tense challenge and fans hail it as the ‘highlight of the TV year’
Celia Imrie has been branded a ‘national treasure’ after leaving her Traitor pals in a tight spot as she sailed through the wind during her BBC show on Wednesday night.
The 73-year-old actress accidentally caused a tear during the latest thriller challenge, which saw half the stars locked in Claudia Winkleman’s spooky log cabin.
Celia looked extremely nervous when presenter Claudia arrived to explain what the stars should do and accidentally farted, sending her co-stars into hysterics.
The Thursday Murder Club star admitted: ‘I just farted on Claudia, I’m so sorry, it’s annoying, I’ll always admit it!’
Celebrities burst into laughter, breaking the incredibly crafted atmosphere Claudia had created in her cabin.

Elsewhere on the show, Niko became the second star to be kicked off the show after more than half of the celebrities voted against Niko during the roundtable.
Meanwhile, Kate Garraway, who received the second most votes, later said: ‘I was very upset that everyone was against me.
‘I watched Niko a lot, my kids love him, I’m sad he’s gone.’
Celia added: ‘Whoever these Traitors are, they are very clever.’
While the celebrities went to bed, Traitors Alan Carr, Johnathan Ross and Cat Burns got together and decided who to kill next.
The trio wanted to ‘make an impact’ and decided to kill Tom Daley.
Jonathan joked: ‘Maybe we can shift the blame, gold medals aren’t shields, are they?’
After he was killed Tom said: ‘That didn’t take long, I guess I was killed because I was seen as a threat so I might as well go and take a final dive into my grave.’
The rest of the celebs were left completely baffled asking ‘why Tom’ when he didn’t turn up for breakfast.
At the end of the episode, there was another round table where Tameka was voted out and revealed that she was Loyal.
Jonathan added: ‘I’m the luckiest traitor in this country, I’ve just escaped this.’
Mark, who led the charge claiming Tameka was a Traitor, looked distraught and apologized for not voting for her.
