Marks and Spencer issues urgent recall on popular product – ‘do not eat’ | UK | News

Marks & Spencer has issued a product recall due to the risk of it containing an ingredient not listed on its packaging. The supermarket is recalling its own brand M&S Milk Chocolate Honeycomb “due to the possibility of a small number of packages containing undeclared peanuts”.

This means that the product is a possible health risk for anyone allergic to peanuts. Food Standards Agency (FSA) in question. M&S marked the product with a label point of sale notification. The affected batches have an expiration date of May 12, 2026 and batch number 5242.

M&S apologized to customers and said the decision had been taken “out of an abundance of caution”.

“The company also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do once they purchase the product.”
