Women’s World Cup 2027: England will face Greece in play-offs as Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales also learn opponents
England will face Greece in the first round of the 2027 Women’s World Cup play-offs.
The Lionesses must complete two rounds of home and away ties to qualify for the tournament in Brazil.
If England beat Greece, they will face the winner of the first away match between Slovakia and Ukraine.
Fixture dates are expected to be confirmed, but matches will take place in October, November and December.
Despite England’s five wins from six qualifying matches, Spain finished top of the group and secured the sole automatic spot.
Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and the Republic of Ireland also learned who they will be playing against for a place in the World Cup.
In the first round, Wales will face Albania, Scotland will face the Czech Republic, and Northern Ireland will face Portugal.
Meanwhile, Republic of Ireland will play against Kazakhstan.
