The United States’ most advanced aircraft carrier, the USS Gerald R. Ford, arrives in Split

The U.S. aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford – the world’s largest warship – anchored off Split, Croatia, on Tuesday for a planned port visit, drawing crowds of residents and tourists who gathered along the city’s waterfront. The US Embassy in Zagreb said the visit reflected the “enduring friendship and cooperation” between the US and Croatia. The Croatian Ministry of Defense emphasized the importance of the visit in underlining the stability of NATO’s collective defense.
