‘Out of character’: Mum’s desperate plea for 14-year-old missing girl

The mother of a 14-year-old girl missing from Queensland since Tuesday said her disappearance was “out of character” as police urged anyone with information to come forward.
Paige disappeared next to Clinton in Gladstone on Tuesday.
He was last seen at an address on Fitzroy Avenue at around 6.20am.
“The police are concerned about the girl’s health due to her young age,” the police said in a statement.
The girl, described as Caucasian with red hair, was last seen wearing a navy blue-and-white polo shirt and shorts.
“Investigators are appealing for anyone with information about the girl or her whereabouts to contact Policelink,” police said.
His mother, Rebecca Maddin, took to social media to help.
“If anyone sees my daughter Paige, please contact me,” he wrote.
“He was ready to go to school this morning and wasn’t home when I got home from work, which was out of character.
“I’m really worried about his safety because the girls haven’t been very nice to him.”
