Kevin Rudd jets into Canberra one week after Australia’s Ambassador to the US was scolded by President Donald Trump

Australian Ambassador to the US Kevin Rudd was spotted at Parliament House in Canberra, a week after being publicly rebuked by President Donald Trump.
The US president claimed he knew nothing about Mr Rudd, who has served as Canberra’s envoy to Washington since March 2023, during Anthony Albanese’s long-awaited meeting at the White House.
A reporter asked Mr. Trump whether he had made amends with Mr. Rudd, who had called Mr. Trump a “village fool” and a “traitor to the West” before his diplomatic appointment.
“I really don’t know anything about him,” Mr. Trump said.
“I think he said something bad a long time ago.
“You know, I don’t forget when they talk bad about me.”
The Prime Minister, who is in Malaysia for the ASEAN summit, was making calls about Mr Rudd’s future as Australia’s ambassador to the US, while Mr Rudd was in the nation’s capital to address the Retiring Members’ Council.

According to the Australian report, Mr Rudd talked about investment opportunities for Australian super funds in the US.
Mr Rudd told attendees the size of Australia’s super funds had been recognized in America and could be used as a form of “economic diplomacy”, according to the newspaper.
He also talked about opportunities in the US where super funds could achieve higher returns.
Mr Rudd did not appear in the House of Representatives during questioning and managed to evade cameras.
