Woman arrested after allegedly cutting gas at Sutherland Hospital, Kareena Hospital Sydney

A woman is in custody after allegedly gassing herself at two hospitals in Sydney’s south.
Police were told a woman entered Kareena Private Hospital on Kareena Road, Caringbah, at around 12.20pm on Tuesday and blocked access to water before activating fire hoses.
About an hour later, gas went out at nearby Sutherland Hospital and staff had to switch to portable oxygen and air as part of their emergency plan.
Health Minister Ryan Park confirmed the gas system had been repaired about two hours later.
“I want to reassure the community that there has been no impact to patient care and the system has returned to operating normally,” he said.
Kareena Private Hospital spokesperson said the water has since been turned back on.
Police arrested a 42-year-old woman on Parkside Ave in Miranda shortly before 4am for violating her right to bail.
“He was taken to Sutherland Police Station where inquiries are ongoing,” police said.
