Have fireworks gotten out of hand in the Fox Cities? Tell us your thoughts in this short survey

Wendy Szczepanski came to the Neenah Municipality Hall with a simple request for the police and elected officials: to implement the fireworks law already found in books.

A 2018 online survey written by Menasha Police 58% of approximately 1,300 participants preferred additional laws or fines to prevent people from illuminating illegal fireworks. On the contrary, 55% considered the level of concern of security or property due to fireworks as “slightly” or “not at all.”
The majority of the respondents came from Menasha, Neenah, Oshkosh, Fox Crossing and Appleton.
Szczepanski said that many people were afraid of retaliation from their neighbors or knew that the police would not apply the law. The Neenah police have only written two citation for fireworks in the last two years. Both were for crimes again.
So how big is the fireworks in fox cities? Have the opinions have changed since the 2018 survey?
