Huntingdon train stabbings linked with attack on boy, 14

Police have confirmed that the suspected attempt to murder 10 people on a train in Cambridgeshire is linked to three more knife incidents.
Anthony Williams, 32, of no fixed abode, has been charged in connection with the mass stabbing on the London King’s Cross service from Doncaster on Saturday.
British Transport Police (BTP), which is leading the investigation, said the incident was linked to the stabbing of a 14-year-old boy in Peterborough on Friday evening.
Two incidents in which a man entered a barber shop in the city (on at least one occasion wielding a knife) were also linked.
BTP said it had also linked the stabbings on the rail service, which made an emergency stop at Huntingdon, to a fourth incident on a DLR train at Pontoon Wharf in the early hours of Saturday.
Mr Williams has been charged with attempted murder for the 11th time after a 17-year-old was stabbed on a train in east London.
Dep Ch Con Stuart Cundy said BTP had increased the visibility of police officers on the rail network to “give confidence” to both staff and the “traveling public”.
