Do Not Forget Basic Policing, Sajjanar to Inspectors

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar stated that crimes can be controlled by effective implementation of basic and basic policing. He warned that if the prestige of the police system is jeopardized, strict measures will be implemented and negligence in the performance of duty will not be tolerated in any way.
He held a review meeting with senior police officers and Station House Officers (SHOs) at the TGICCC Auditorium in Banjara Hills on Wednesday. He explained and gave instructions to the officers through a powerpoint presentation on priority areas such as maintenance of law and order, crime control and investigation, community engagement and technology adoption, and human resource management, among others.
He advised them to do better policing in order to maintain law and order as well as protect the public. He directed that every police officer should perform his duty with 100 percent dedication and discipline.
He added that personnel should not be limited to a single task and that measures should be taken to ensure that they gain proficiency in all departments. He explained that everyone should do their duty with dedication and love their profession and job.
He also stated that SHOs will be held fully responsible for matters occurring within their jurisdiction. He stated that he had previously been notified of negligence in several cases and that these cases were currently being re-investigated.
“Police work is full of many challenges and we need to overcome all of them while performing our duties effectively. Do not treat any case routinely. Every minor crime must be thoroughly investigated. If minor crimes are left unchecked, there is a danger of it turning into a major crime in the future. Every case must be analyzed technically from every angle,” Sajjanar said.
He stated that they are considering using advanced technology, artificial intelligence, to speed up investigations. He urged everyone to strive to take the brand image of Telangana and Hyderabad police in the country to a higher level.
