Nancy Pelosi won’t seek reelection to Congress

California Democrat Nancy Pelosi, who made history as the first female speaker of the House of Representatives, said Thursday that she will not seek re-election to Congress next year.
Pelosi, 85, has served in Congress for nearly four decades.
“There has never been a greater honor for me than to stand in the House of Representatives and say, ‘I speak on behalf of the people of San Francisco,'” Pelosi said. video shared on social media.
“I really loved being your voice in Congress,” he said. “So I want you, my fellow San Franciscans, to be the first to know: I will not be seeking re-election to Congress.”
“With a grateful heart, I look forward to my final year of service as your proud representative,” Pelosi said.
