Chancellor honoured with ICT Education Changemaker Award

Dakshayini Avvaji, Chancellor of University of Sharnbasva and president of Sharanabasaveshwar Vidya Wardak Sangha, was awarded the ICT Education Changemaker Award for her contribution to transforming higher education through innovation, leadership and vision.
The award, presented by the ICT Academy, recognizes educational leaders who foster organizational growth, academic excellence and future-ready learning. The award was presented at the 25th – 68th edition of ICT Academy BRIDGE held in Bengaluru on Friday. Tamil Nadu Information Technology and Digital Services Minister Palanivel Thiagarajan presented the award on behalf of Ms. Avvaji, which was received by Sharanabasaveshwar Vidya Wardak Sangha secretary Basavaraj Deshmukh.
In its citation, the ICT Academy praised Ms. Avvaji’s commitment to reimagining higher education through inclusive, technology-driven initiatives that inspire change and make learning more effective and future-proof.
Dignitaries present included Vikram Balakrishnan, Chief Technical Officer and Head of Transformation at ATOs; V. Srikant, Chief Executive Officer, ICT Academy; and Shipra Sharma, CSR Leader, IBM India/South Asia and others.
Founded in 2009, ICT Academy, especially during World War II. and III. It focuses on closing the skills gap between academia and industry in tier-1 cities. The academy operates through a seven-pillar program covering faculty development, student skills development, entrepreneurship promotion, youth empowerment, industry-institute collaboration, digital literacy, and research and publication.
