Ghosh was also given the Banga Bhushan award by the state government. The Prime Minister also presented him with a golden bat and a golden ball on behalf of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB). CAB also presented him with a check of Rs 34 lakh. Former Indian cricket team captain and former chairman of the Board of Control for Cricket in India Sourav Ganguly was also present at the event.
She revealed that she was given a check of Rs 34 lakh since Ghosh scored 34 runs in the final match of the Women’s World Cup. “Richa’s job when he came at number six was the toughest as there were fewer balls to play. The demand rate was quite high then. But he played expertly and made the difference,” Ganguly said.

The Prime Minister said that he would like to see Sourav Ganguly as the president of the International Cricket Council (ICC) one day. “He was the captain of the Indian cricket team for many years.
