Met Office issues 7-hour thunderstorm and flood warning with power cuts ‘likely’ | Weather | News

Met Office today released a yellow air warning for storms, which later cover a large part of the UK. The national estimated three regions slapped the seven -hour warning: North East England, Dumfries, Galloway, Lothian & Borders and Central, Tayside & Fife.

Air experts predict that power outages are likely, while air warnings today, between 11:00 and 18:00, adds that “slow -moving heavy shower and storms can lead to some travel interruptions and floods in several places”. He said: “Probably some raids of a few houses and enterprises, as well as damaging some damage in buildings or structures, damaging a few buildings and structures from lightning strikes.”

Met Office explained: “On Wednesday, heavy shower and some storms are expected to develop in some parts of Southeast Scotland and Northeast England, and in the afternoon by cleaning the East to the North Sea.

“Although some places have a relatively small amount of rainfall, several places may see a clock or less for some effects from surface juice floods. There is a chance to fall in the same area in the same region, there is a chance to drop 20-30 mm in 2-3 hours.”

Air warning, one day after Britain recorded one of the hottest days this year, temperature levels rose to 34.7C in London on Tuesday.

According to temporary Met Office statistics, Britain broke the hottest June record, while Britain has been the second most warrant since 1884.
