HC Orders AP To Fix Accountability For Flood Mismanagement

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh directed the state government to identify those responsible for the floods in the city and to act against them by publishing the next hearing for October 8.
Chief Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur and Justice Ch. Ravi heard a pin opened by journalist N. Bhupathi Rao, who claimed that the government had not warned people sufficiently about the floods and could not take action against the wrong ones.
The petition’s adviser, Jaganmohan Reddy, argued that Prime Minister Nara Chandrabababu Naidu had learned the floods after learning the floods of the official residence in Undavalli. He also claimed that illegal constructions have contributed to the floods throughout the Krishna River Sel Bank.
The bench asked who would take responsibility for the loss of life and whether any internal investigation was conducted.
S. Pranathi, who begged the private government, claimed that it would not be possible to hold any people responsible for floods.
However, the Court has directed an investigation to define and provide details.
