The Opposition Congress in Rajasthan on Monday, November 24, 2025, alleged that the names of a large number of voters have been deleted in all Assembly constituencies during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
According to the party, this was being done in areas where the Congress had significant support.
Pradesh Congress Committee president Govind Singh Dotasra said that voters with Congress ideology were removed from the electoral rolls on the pretext of their absence and death. “The names of 20,000 to 25,000 voters are being erased from all parts of the House,” he said.

Talking to reporters at the PCC headquarters in Raipur, Mr. Dotasra said the login IDs of Block Level Officers (BLO) were used for “arbitrary deletions and additions” at multiple places.
“We are collecting all information regarding the misuse of dead, altered, and dead (ASD) marking. Congress will soon release the details and expose this conspiracy.” Mr. Dotasra said.
The state Congress chief said the ASD mark is very low in areas where he believes the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has a strong vote bank. Mr. Dotasra said the data will be available by next month to make a comparison between the final voter lists and the previous lists used in the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
A meeting attended by the PCC leadership and all District Congress Committee chairmen was convened in Jaipur on November 29 to review the SIR implementation. Mr. Dotasra said AICC Rajasthan in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa will assign new duties to DCC presidents and discuss the party’s strategy to monitor the Election Commission’s actions.
When asked about the appointments of the party’s district unit heads, Mr. Dotasra said adequate representation was given to leaders under 50 years of age as well as leaders belonging to SC, ST, OBC and minority communities. “We are complying with the Udaipur Nav Sankalp Declaration 2022. The entire team in 50 districts in the state will be ready by December end,” he said.
