Blaze seeks further clarification on situation

West Perth-based Blaze Minerals says it is working closely with key parties to gain a clearer understanding of recent conditions at the Loulombo project.

Blaze, led by Mathew Walker, based in the Republic of Congo, acquired an 80 percent stake in Loulombo, a base metals project, earlier this year.

On October 31, Blaze told the market that an RC rig had arrived in Kinshasa (150 km away) and would be driven to Loulombo by South Africa-based Mining Drilling Systems.

Blaze said the RC rig arrived in Loulombo earlier this week and “standard maintenance protocols” were implemented for drilling to begin.

“The company subsequently received notice from our local business partner Congo Shining SARL regarding its alleged failure to meet unspecified obligations and as a result the safety of its field personnel and equipment could no longer be guaranteed,” Blaze said in a statement to the ASX on Thursday. he said.

“The company notified the drilling contractor, who decided to demobilize the staff until conditions were clarified.

“Currently the RC equipment is on site.

“The company is actively working with our local business partner and legal counsel to clarify the situation and will provide further clarification if events occur.”
