Cat Deeley stunned as Peter Kay calls her out for annoying habit in middle of live This Morning interview – and fans cheer ‘at last someone has said it!’

Cat Deeley was left stunned after Peter Kay called her out for her interview habit midway through a live chat on This Morning, sending fans into a tizzy.
The presenter, who co-hosts the ITV daytime soap with Ben Shephard, was joined by the comedian to discuss his Better Late Than Never tour.
Peter, 52, revealed his decision to donate all his money from the tour to a range of cancer charities as he sat down with Cat, 49, and Ben, 50.
He listed all 12 charities that money will go to for the tour, which has been extended to even more dates after initially kicking off in 2022.
Charities listed included Teenage Cancer Trust, Kidney Cancer UK, Blood Cancer UK, Bowel Cancer UK and Prostate Cancer UK.
However, the comic let out a giggle in his direction when he noticed that Cat was constantly answering ‘yes’ to the name of each charity as she listed the names written on a piece of paper so he could remember their names.

‘My tour took a long time,’ he told his hosts. ‘I’m doing extra shows and they’re all for 12 charities; Children with Cancer UK, Teenage Cancer Foundation, Kidney Cancer UK, Blood Cancer UK, Bowel Cancer…
‘I don’t laugh at bowel cancer, because it keeps saying ‘yes’.’
Looking embarrassed, Cat started giggling and turned her face away when Ben stepped in: ‘It’s called active listening, my wife does it and it’s driving me crazy.’
Looking into the camera’s lens, Peter then joked: ‘Well, if you have a problem with this and want to call…?’ Before we continue listing charities.
Show viewers quickly took to X, formerly Twitter, to react to the moment, celebrating when one guest ‘finally called Cat out’ for the behaviour.
Someone wrote: ‘Finally someone did this! Peter Kay calls Cat Deeley “yeah…yeah…aha…um” as someone tries to talk!’
A second added: ‘Peter Kay doesn’t give Cat a look telling her to stop, “yeah, yeah, uh ha” It’s about time someone did that!’
It’s not the first time Cat has been called out by guests and viewers alike for interrupting and talking over guests on the ITV show.
As the comic listed the names written on a piece of paper so he could remember their names, he let out a chuckle towards her, noting that Cat kept answering ‘yes’ to the name of each charity.
Show viewers immediately took to X, formerly Twitter, to react to the moment, celebrating when a guest ‘finally called out Cat’ for the behaviour.
Last year, as Cat replaced former host Holly Willoughby, viewers took to social media to vent their anger at her guests who interrupted her.
Highlighting the performance of regular chef John Torode as he described his amazing Thai green curry dish, one unimpressed viewer wrote: ‘Is this the Cat Deeley show? ‘He never stops making noise!’
Another wrote: ‘The show is called This Morning. I am NOT the Shepherd Show or the Cat Deeley Show. Stop talking over each other and stop interrupting guests. ‘Oh my God – what a noise!’
A third shouted: ‘Cat Deeley needs to listen more instead of talking all the time. John Torode was trying to explain a recipe but kept interrupting. I prefer Shepherd.
‘I might have to turn off This Morning because it’s always there. It’s so exaggerated.”
Another joked: ‘Will someone take Cat Deeley out and give her a tranquillizer or anesthetic?’
Peter has now confirmed that ‘all profits’ from the upcoming dates will be split between 12 cancer charities in a series of TV appearances on Thursday.
Peter today announced he will donate all profits from his tour to 12 cancer charities
Speaking to BBC presenters Lauren Laverne and Vernon Kay, the Bolton-born star said: ‘I’ve just done this tour and I’m announcing the final shows and all the proceeds will go to 12 charities.’
Other charities are DKMS UK, Ovarian Cancer Action, Pancreatic Cancer UK, Anthony Nolan, The Brain Tumor Charity, Breast Cancer UK.
He continued: ‘Unfortunately everyone knows someone who has been affected by this list and I hope people support it, which is why I’m here.
‘You don’t even have to like me to come, it’s beyond that and it’s about supporting charities and I hope you’ll come.
‘Tickets will go on sale this Sunday at 10am. “This is also a good Christmas gift,” he added.
Peter will perform in more than 20 arenas in Newcastle, Nottingham, Glasgow, Dublin, Birmingham, Belfast, Liverpool, Sheffield, Leeds, Manchester and London.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1 and ITVX.
