According to the new figures, England’s high streets were disappointed in June, and consumers were described as “incredibly cautious” in the midst of increased business losses and variable geopolitics.
Total sales increased by 0.6 % annually, online sales, while adapting the behavior of shoppers, partially affected by warmer temperatures increased by 4.3 percent.
The latest High Street sales audience from the accounting and business consultancy firm BDO announced the in -store performance that creates disappointing and underlined the shopping struggle of Hight Street.
This was especially evident in the fashion sector, especially online sales increased by 10 percent in June.
This shows that the sixth month, in which the in -store sales growth lags behind the inflation rate, is a significant decrease in sales volumes in the first half of the year.
The data obtained from the CBI indicate that this is the ninth month that reflects the difficulty of the total sales volumes and the retail sector that reflects the difficulty faced in attracting consumer expenditures.

BDO Retail and Wholesale President Sophie Michael said: “Consumer expenditures continue to challenge with little optimism for retailers.
“Considering the increasing work losses in the geopolitical landscape and the significant noise on volatility, we know that consumers are incredibly cautious when it comes to optional expenditure.
“There is an increasing gap between the performance of physical stores and online retail.
“Perhaps it is that online retailers have more agility in order to quickly align their consumer preferences such as encouraging their inventories and promotional materials at extremely high temperatures and rotating them to waterproof when it comes to waterproof.”
