Accused childcare paedophile hit with more charges at centres in Point Cook, Williamstown and Keilor

Childcare worker Joshua Brown is now accused of abusing children at four Melbourne nurseries after 83 new charges.
On Thursday, detectives announced that Brown, 27, faces charges of abusing four more victims at three centers.
He is currently facing charges relating to eight victims who attended the Creative Garden Early Learning Center in Point Cook, south-west of Melbourne.
Police said in a statement that the children’s families have been informed and that no one will need further health tests.
They were joined by four new victims: Nino Early Learning Adventures at Point Cook on March 26, 2019; Just About Kids in Williamstown on December 1, 2020 and February 22, 2021; and the Aussie Kindies Early Learning Center in Keilor from 3 to 11 February 2025.
Brown started working at Nino’s a few weeks after graduating from high school. During her last three years of secondary school, she studied early childhood education at TAFE.
The new charges include six counts of sexual intercourse with a child under 12, eight counts of producing child abuse material, using a carriage service to transmit child abuse material and committing a sexual act in the presence of a child under 16.
Brown was also charged with 12 counts of bestiality in connection with a separate investigation and other counts of sexual abuse related to previously identified victims.
Brown was facing 73 charges, including child rape. Cache of child abuse material found in May It sparked an urgent police investigation and plunged Australia’s childcare industry into crisis.
He now faces 156 charges and will appear in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on February 10.

“Since his arrest, an extensive investigation has been conducted by Sexual Crimes Squad detectives and this remains an ongoing, active investigation,” police said.
“Importantly, Victoria Police is liaising closely with the Department of Health and the Chief Health Officer has advised that no children will require further testing. No new child care centers have been identified where Brown previously worked.”
Brown worked at 23 child care centers in Victoria for eight years.
Pejman Okhovat, chief executive of childcare chain G8, said in an ASX market update that he was “horrified” by the distressing nature of the new accusations.
The update said the G8 will continue to do everything it can to give authorities the best chance of achieving justice for the children and families involved.
G8 runs the Creative Garden Early Learning Center in Point Cook.
Victorian opposition education spokesman Brad Rowswell said the distress, trauma and pain of affected families would be felt across the state.
“This situation is every parent’s worst nightmare,” he said.
