Meghan Markle’s ‘authentic shock’ as Harry makes ‘negative’ comment to her – expert | Royal | News

A body language expert says Meghan Markle was in “genuine shock” after Prince Harry made a negative comment about her in this week’s “With Love, Meghan” holiday special. The Duchess of Sussex, 44, returned to Netflix screens on Wednesday with a new festive episode of her series in which she “embraces” holiday traditions.
In one scene, Prince Harry joined his wife in the kitchen, where the pair engaged in witty banter. However, while this may all seem like lighthearted fun, one body language expert said otherwise.
To talk express.co.ukExpert Judi James said Meghan was actually a bit shocked when Harry made a negative comment suggesting his mother Doria’s cooking was better than hers.
Judi said: “He (Harry) adopts the ‘naughty boy’ vibe, crouching in mock fear as he says this, but seems to (mistakenly) believe that by complimenting his mother’s cooking he will somehow please her.
“Harry understands little about the intricacies of a mother/daughter relationship, especially when the daughter tries to present herself as a world-class food whisperer.
“It is claimed that there is no such thing as a joke, just a dig or a swipe at someone’s expense, and although Meghan’s response appears superficially playful and ‘sarcastic’, the momentary sideways glance as her mouth opens in shock and her hands freeze in the air suggests genuine shock that Meghan would dare make any negative comparisons in front of their cameras as she races to produce the perfect level of Christmas edibles.
“Will the prank war continue at Harry’s next big TV event? Will Meghan jokingly tell him in front of cameras at the Invictus Games that her father’s contribution to Invictus was better than her own?”
