Tel Aviv: In the announcement made by the Israeli Prime Minister’s office on Wednesday, December 10, it was stated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi agreed to meet “very soon” after a sincere and friendly phone call.
Netanyahu’s office shared on X, “Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently met with Indian Prime Minister @NarendraModi. At the end of the warm and friendly meeting, the two leaders agreed to meet very soon.”
During the meeting, Prime Minister Modi evaluated the developments in West Asia with Netanyahu and reiterated India’s support for the early implementation of the Gaza Peace Plan. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said the leaders “exchanged views on the situation in West Asia” and that Modi “reaffirmed India’s support for efforts towards a just and lasting peace in the region, including the early implementation of the Gaza Peace Plan.”

Both leaders expressed satisfaction with the continued momentum in the India-Israel Strategic Partnership and reiterated their commitment to deepen these ties for mutual benefit. They strongly condemned terrorism and emphasized their “zero tolerance approach to all forms and manifestations of terrorism.” Leaders agreed to remain in close contact.
The meeting comes at a time when India and Israel continue to emphasize their close strategic relationship spanning defence, technology, agriculture and intelligence cooperation.
Netanyahu was considering a visit to India before the end of the year, but the trip was postponed due to security concerns. His office said teams from both countries were already coordinating a new visit date, with the Israeli leader expressing “full confidence in India’s security under Prime Minister Modi.”
The statement stated that the bond between the two countries and their leaders is “very strong”.
Netanyahu last visited India in January 2018; this was the second visit by an Israeli prime minister to the country. He has repeatedly emphasized the closeness between India and Israel in recent months.
He expressed condolences to India following the Red Fort explosion and said both nations were ancient civilizations rooted in “eternal truths”.
