Indian Team Maintains No-Handshake Policy Against Pakistan at Toss in U-19 Asia Cup Match

dubai: India continued its “no handshake” policy against Pakistan in the U-19 Asian Cup match here on Sunday.

India captain Ayush Mhatre and his Pakistani counterpart Farhan Yousaf ignored each other during the toss at the ICC Academy ground.

Winning the toss, Pakistan emerged first and India scored 240 in 46.1 overs.

Both India and Pakistan started their campaigns on a winning note in the tournament.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi smashed a match-winning knock of 171 off 95 balls as India defeated hosts UAE by 234 runs in the tournament opener on Friday.

Pakistan inflicted a 297-run defeat on Malaysia on the same day.
