Massive street fight erupts in UK seaside town as masked youth rammed with car | UK | News

A huge fight broke out in a street in Merseyside on Friday and a man was hit by a car. The incident in New Brighton, where two young people wearing face masks were chased by other young people, one of whom was wearing pajamas, was captured on CCTV. Footage from cameras at the Tower Shops on Seabank Road also shows them carrying what appear to be batons before they turn around and start fighting.

Two more people joined the fight, and the fight then led to the road, stopping traffic. The two men carrying the batons were later disarmed, as told to the Liverpool Echo. When a person wearing pajamas and without shoes kicked someone in the head, two people around intervened.

As two of the teenagers ran into a store, a woman in a silver Skoda moved into the crowd. He then also approached the shop, but it appeared to be blocked from the inside.

One of them gets out and throws a bottle at the car, causing part of the windshield to break, before the fight starts again.

The woman gets punched when she gets caught in the middle of the fight before a man comes from the back of the store and breaks up the fight.

He returns to his car with one of the other people in the flight and crashes his car into one of the young people remaining in front of the shop. He then blocks traffic on Seabank Road as he leaves the scene.

Local resident Harry Walters, 71, said he now plans to move from the area, in part because of what he calls “yobbos”.

He told the Echo: “New Brighton is great but I want to get on with my life. It’s not the same as it used to be; you’ve got to be careful of yobbos at night.”

“The kids have nowhere to go, that’s the problem. They need youth clubs and things like that to keep them off the streets. They hang around on street corners and cause trouble.”

Tower Stores said it was closed while police investigated the fight but later reopened.
