Donald Trump forced to name animals in cognitive test while health rumours swirl | World | News

Donald Trump announced that he had to name animals during cognitive tests due to concerns that his health would deteriorate. The US president once again boasted that he had “passed” all three exams and was in “excellent health”, despite footage emerging of him appearing to fall asleep during cabinet meetings.
He said: “I did something no other president has ever done. I took cognitive tests because I know this, and by the way, it’s not easy.” Mr Trump claimed his predecessor Joe Biden would fail tests involving the identification of animals such as fish and lions. He said: You get to the last questions, the last 10, 15 questions… and I did well on those.
“And no other president has ever stepped into the gear… Can you imagine Sleepy Joe taking a cognitive test?
“The first question is: ‘What is this?’ And they show a lion, a giraffe, a fish and a hippo. ‘Which one is the giraffe?’ “they ask.”
“I don’t think Joe would answer the first question correctly. He would say hippo – I want the hippo… I’ve taken three cognitive tests now. I did well on every one.”
Despite his boasts, Mr. Trump admitted that his cognitive abilities will not always be “100%.”
He added: “Maybe there will come a time when I won’t be 100%. When that time comes, I will let you know.
“Actually, you’ll probably find out just by watching. But then that’s not now, because I feel the same thing I’ve felt for 50 years, I really do.”
Concerns about the president’s health remain, especially after he was caught up in remarks he made during a televised speech earlier this week.
He mispronounced the numbers when announcing to service members that the money was “on the way.”
Mr. Trump meant to say more than 1,450,000 service members would receive the “warrior dividend before Christmas,” but he actually said “fourteen hundred and fifty thousand… Think about that, one million four hundred and fifty thousand.”
