Wild footage captures moment police arrest teen hiding in portaloo as five charged over alleged crime spree

Five teenagers have been charged with 36 offenses following a crime spree in south-east Queensland; The footage shows the moment when someone hiding in a portaloo was arrested.
Police allege the youths were involved in the theft of property from six different businesses in Morayfield, Rothwell, Mango Hill, Narangba and Brisbane City between December 8 and 21.
Four of the teens will allegedly break into a home on Hemsworth Street in Acacia Ridge and steal a black Subaru Outback.
Two of the teenagers allegedly broke into another house in Falcon St, Burpengary East, and stole personal items and a white Mazda CX-8.
Police will allege the Mazda was involved in a road accident at around 2.15am on Sunday before the pair were taken into custody near Harvey Crt and Waterside Espl.

The 16-year-old Caboolture South boy was charged with 11 offences, including three counts of entering and committing an offence, two counts of entering and committing an offence, and one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and wearing a face mask with intent to commit an offence.
He will reappear at Caboolture Children’s Court on January 5, 2026.
A 14-year-old Wamuran boy has been charged with nine felonies, including two counts of breaking and entering, one count each of receiving defective property and unlawful operation of a motor vehicle.
He will appear again in Caloundra Children’s Court on Wednesday.
The 15-year-old Narangba boy was charged with one count each of breaking and entering a dwelling, receiving defective goods, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and theft. He will reappear at Caboolture Children’s Court on January 7, 2026.

The 15-year-old Godwin Beach boy was charged with two counts of trespassing and committing a crime and one count each of entering a house with intent, wearing a face mask with intent to commit a crime, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and receiving defective property.
He will reappear at Caboolture Children’s Court on January 21, 2026.
A 17-year-old Rothwell boy was charged with two counts of entering a premises and committing a criminal offense, one count each of entering a premises and committing a criminal offense, unlawful operation of a motor vehicle, wearing a face mask with intent to commit a crime and receiving defective property.
He will reappear at Caboolture Children’s Court on January 14, 2026.
