Kensington Palace teases cryptic image of a piano on social media ahead of Kate’s Christmas carol concert on ITV tonight

Excitement is building ahead of Princess Kate’s Christmas carol concert on ITV tonight.

The Prince and Princess of Wales sent a cryptic picture of a piano to their X account this morning; Kensington Palace described it as a little ‘tease’ of something ‘exciting’.

The surprise will be featured in Kate’s song ‘Together for Christmas’, which will air on Christmas Eve at 7.25pm.

The photo posted on social media shows a festively decorated piano surrounded by candles and a Christmas tree.

It was captioned with two simple emojis, a musical note and a piano.

The Welsh commented under the photo: ‘Watch Royal Carols: Together at Christmas tonight at 7.25pm on @ITV and @ITVX.’

Kate has played the piano at previous festival concerts, including 2021, when she gave a moving performance at the Westminster Abbey ceremony, which was broadcast on TV.

On this occasion, she stunned the audience at the ceremony in London when she played the piano to accompany singer Tom Walker with a touching song performed by candlelight.

The Prince and Princess of Wales this morning posted a cryptic picture of a piano, which Kensington Palace described as a little ‘tease’ of something ‘exciting’.

They performed Christmas single For Those Who Can’t Be Here together and although the Duchess was reportedly feeling ‘quite nervous’, fans flocked to praise her performance.

Others noted how Kate was channeling her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, who stunned audiences in Australia with her own piano performance in 1988.

Meanwhile, sweet new photos released on Tuesday showed Kate and Prince Louis sharing an adorable moment at the Christmas carol concert.

Royal fans swooned over unseen photos of the princess and her three children at the annual caroling ceremony held at Westminster Abbey on December 5.

Their heartwarming bond was clearly visible to all as 10-year-old Princess Charlotte arrived to support her mother, along with her father Prince William, 43, and brothers Prince George, 12, and Louis, 7.

The whole family was stylish in navy blue and green, with the boys wearing stylish suits while Charlotte was adorable in a blue dress with a white collar that perfectly complemented her mother’s emerald one.

The children admired the ceremonial light decorations as Kate proudly smiled at her children as she guided them towards Westminster Abbey ahead of the ceremony, which will air on Christmas Eve.

Once inside, the Princess of Wales helped Louis balance a candle while holding an order of service in her other hand.

Meanwhile, the carol ceremony, now in its fifth year, also showcased Princess Catherine’s close relationship with her daughter Charlotte.

The pair’s faces visibly lit up with joy when they saw each other outside Westminster Abbey before the concert started at 5pm on Friday, December 5.

Smiling broadly, the Princess of Wales quickly reached out her arm to embrace her daughter, who looked equally pleased to support her mother at the event.

The family were later photographed walking to the Abbey together, with Kate continuing to gaze lovingly at her daughter.
