Suspended SVU Professor Found Dead In Parked Car Near Alipiri
TIRUPATI: A Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) professor, who was suspended on disciplinary grounds and was missing for the last few days, was found dead inside a parked car near Alipiri in Tirupati on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Dr. Dr., a professor at the SVU Faculty of Commerce, Management and Computer Science. He was identified as Sardar Gugloth V. Sources said he was suspended about three months ago for irregular attendance and other disciplinary issues.
Police said locals alerted them after noticing a foul smell coming from a car parked near Alipiri. Tirupati West police reached the spot and found the body of a middle-aged man inside the vehicle.
The decomposed body was taken to SVR Ruia General Hospital for autopsy. A case has been registered and investigation is on to establish the circumstances surrounding the death.
Police officials said the exact cause of death would be known after the autopsy report, but preliminary assessment suggested that the death might have occurred a few days ago.
Dr Gugloth is survived by his wife, Meena Bhai, a school assistant at Zilla Parishad High School in Chittoor, and two daughters, aged 15 and 12.
